For anyone who has ever wanted to get in more immersed in BBC wildlife content, the Rift and Gear game, ‘Oogie’ offers an exciting new kind of experience by combining leading VR design with authentic documentary content and sound composition.
Developed in collaboration with BBC as an Oculus Commission and using the audio mastery of Films@59, this game / documentary (gDoc) is the story is of a small Beetle with big dreams.
After catching a glimpse of his girl, Oogie sets out on a perilous journey across the South African desert that will see him confront fierce ants, rugged terrain, and deadly predators. As Oogie looks high and low for his mate, a documentary-style voiceover will narrate his actions and behaviour as well as pointing out upcoming hazards.
